Friday 11th June - Berlin to Wroclaw (Poland)

We left Berlin behind and headed into Poland (we were surprised the camper didn’t collapse from the bumpy road we entered Poland on, at times our bottoms literally lifted off the seats!) We stopped at Stulag Lufft III which was a prisoner of war camp used to hold officers during WWII – it was the place that the great escape happened (the picture is the top of the tunnel that they escaped from ). After lunch we headed off on a better road to Wroclaw, the sat nav was directing us to the campsite and on approaching where it should be it said “ you have reached your destination” both of us looked at each other and said “ I don’t think we will be staying here “ .Yes you guessed it the campsite was in the process of being bulldozed to make way for a new road, off we trundled to one that is part of the stadium grounds and looked pretty much similar to what it would have looked like in soviet time’s lol This campsite was also the first instalment of the “Attack of the mosquito’s”…
